The Gritstone Club Logo

About the Logo
Symbol carved 4000 years ago on a Rombalds Moor outcrop. Adopted and adapted in 1922 for the club badge as representing good luck and well-being carved on gritstone. The meaning of the symbol is yet to be found but it has an alignment with true north and may, therefore, represent some astronomical observation. If anyone out there has information on the significance of this symbol we would be pleased to hear from you via webmaster@gritstoneclub.org.uk
