With 9 days walking planned at the beginning of September we met up at Quincinetto which is in the Aosta Valley in the Piedmont region of Italy.
I have wanted to run The Monte Rosa as a 170km 12000m D+ race for three years now. It began at 4 pm on Thursday 7th September, starting in Grachen (Switzerland).
The Duddon really is a very pleasant and unspoilt valley with plenty of low level paths and access from High Moss to the hills and crags

Paul got back from Tibet a couple of weeks ago having made the first ascent of the North Buttress of Nyainqentagla South East (7047m). He is back in Saudi now……..
Just got back from an excellent trip to far West Nepal with Mick Fowler. Managed to make the first overall ascent of Gave Ding (6571m) via its very impressive north buttress.
Our third Easter meet in the South of France took us to the Ariège region of the Midi Pyrenees.

Hot Rock Meet, Provence, 29 March – 6 April: Based in a villa near Brignoles the climbers in our party of 11 visited a clutch of excellent limestone crags and a granite gorge The walkers traversed several ridges and spent one day on the island of Port Cros.
