We have a couple of climbing meets coming up in the Lakes and at Gogarth – see links opposite for more information. The Lakes meet at the Smithy is ideal if you are a relative beginner at Trad climbing. There are climbs for all abilities. Richard is making sure that the climbing Guides at the Smithy are current and some of us have guides in any case. However if you are planning to go its worth doing some online research or discussing with Lakes regulars. Climbing at Gogarth requires more trad and sea cliff experience – can involve abseiling and knowledge of tides is essential. Speak to Mick and or Alex if you want to know more.
