Friday’s forecast was good so headed to Tilberthwaite to climb Wetherlam, Swirl How,
The Carrs then back via Little Langdale – perfect weather but cold
Saturday was not so good – the cloud was down and it was drizzling. Lynn, Neil and I set off from Threlkeld towards Skiddaw House, crossed the river about 1k before Skiddaw House and followed the track to Latrigg then back to Threlkeld for a beer in the Sally.
Sunday was a perfect day especially in the western part of the Lakes. 6 of us left Buttermere village and headed north alongthe side of Crummock Water, before turning south up Scale Beck past Scale Force and onto Red Pike.
We then traversed the ridge in a south easterly direction, climbing High Stile and High Crag before descending to Scarth Gap Pass,
then back along the side of Buttermere.
